RIMROCK, Ariz. — A 17-year-old boy is being accused of fatally shooting a man in Rimrock.

Yavapai County sheriff’s spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says the suspect was arrested Saturday.

D’Evelyn did not say what charges he faces or if he will be charged as an adult.

Deputies were called late Friday to respond to a 25-year-old man who had been shot. The victim died at the scene.

According to investigators, the suspect had immediately fled.

Authorities did not say how they located the suspect or what the motive was.

But D’Evelyn says the victim appears to have been targeted.

The victim’s name was not released.
