Letter: If you love to read, you can help a child

To the editor:

Brown County Literacy Coalition is looking for volunteer tutors to read with elementary school children in Grades 1 to 3. All volunteers will have a background check.

Commitment is at least one hour per week for the school year. Tutors meet at one of the elementary schools after school, approximately 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

The ability to read is so important, as we all know. You can make a difference. If you are interested, please join us at our next volunteer meeting, Saturday, Oct. 8 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the Brown County Public Library, downstairs, meeting room A. We will be sharing ideas for tutoring reading, discussing ideas and getting to know each other.

For more information, call 949-235-2171 or email shari.r.frank@gmail.com. Also see the BCLC website, bcliteracycoalition.org.
