HOUSTON — A 19-year-old has been charged after Houston-area authorities say four people were injured when he opened fire during an argument, including two children playing nearby.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday that Timothy Caston was charged with aggravated assault with serious bodily injury and released from jail after posting bond.
Caston’s attorney, Feroz Merchant, said his client pleaded not guilty. Merchant says he’s still gathering information and had no further comment.
Authorities say Caston was home with friends on Sept. 26 when a group of teens came over. An argument ensued between the two groups and he shot at the teens.
Officials say bullets grazed an 18-year-old and a 15-year-old and hit a 6-year-old and an 11-year-old playing across the street.
Those injured have been released from medical care.
