SAN ANTONIO — One man was killed in front of a San Antonio home located near a high school and another injured when shots were fired from a passing car.
Police Chief William McManus said investigators believe the shooting early Monday afternoon was related to “narcotics and beyond” but said there wasn’t an immediate threat to the school, located about a block away.
McManus said multiple shots were fired.
Several streets in the ear were shot down after the shooting. San Antonio Independent School District spokeswoman Leslie Price said Lanier High School was put on “lockout” until classes concluded for the day, meaning students and teachers could move about inside the school but couldn’t leave.
The wounded man was taken to the hospital with injuries that weren’t believed to be life-threatening.
