EUGENE, Ore. — A Lane County teenager has been charged with felony sexual abuse.

Court documents obtained by The Register-Guard ( ) show the 15-year-old boy was arraigned Thursday — two days after an alleged incident involving a girl younger than 14.

Under Measure 11, juveniles as young as 15 are prosecuted as adults if they are alleged to have committed major, felony crimes against others. The charge filed against the boy carries a mandatory minimum sentence of six years and three months in prison.

Eugene police investigated the case.
