PECULIAR, Mo. — The victim of a fatal fire in western Missouri has been identified as a 57-year-old man.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that the victim was Charles Scott Ensor. He was found dead Monday in his rural Peculiar home after a neighbor reported the fire.

Ensor was the only person in the home at the time of the fire. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
