FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A man who was reported missing has been found after he was arrested on shoplifting charges.

Fayetteville police officer Sean Strepay tells the Fayetteville Observer (http://bit.ly/2cnREBp) that 51-year-old Walter David Jackson of Wilmington was reported missing on Sept. 12.

On Monday, an officer responded to a report of shoplifting at a Fayetteville Wal-Mart. Strepay says the suspect was identified as Jackson. He was arrested on charges of misdemeanor larceny and misdemeanor possession of stolen property.

It’s unclear if Jackson has an attorney.
