INVITATION FOR BIDS:
Notice is hereby given that Town of Nashville, Brown County, Indiana, hereinafter referred to as the Owner, will be accepting sealed bid proposals on the following items:
2016 Street Improvements:
Specifications may be obtained from the Nashville Town Hall.
Bids must be submitted no later than Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. to the Office of the Clerk-Treasurer, 200 Commercial St, PO Box 446, Nashville, IN 47448. Bids will be publicly opened and read on Thursday, September 15, 2016 during the scheduled Nashville Town Council meeting which starts at 6:30 p.m. Bids shall be submitted on the forms in the Specifications, along with the Non-Collusion Affidavit. A bid bond or certified check (10%) shall accompany each Bid. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the Nashville Town Hall and display the name of the Contractor and marked as “2016 Street Improvement Bids”. The successful bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount with an approved surety company. Said bonds to remain in full force and effect for a period of 180 days after the date of final acceptance of the work.
It is anticipated that due to construction season limitations, if a bid is received which meets the specifications and budget of the Town of Nashville a Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder on September 16, 2016. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all informalities in the bid process.
