JACKSON TWP. — A Columbus man was injured July 29 when he lost control of his motorcycle in a turn.
Eric Lira, 25, was traveling southwest on Lanam Ridge at about 7:15 p.m. when he misjudged a turn, according to a press release.
His motorcycle left the northeast side of the road and he rode a ditch for about 20 feet before striking a tree and telephone pole guide wire.
Lira was ejected from the 2007 Yamaha R6. He sustained a shoulder injury and was taken to a hospital for treatment, a press release said.
Lira was wearing a helmet. Police believe speed was a factor.
