Brown County and Nashville are getting their wishes fulfilled through the state’s Community Crossings road grant program.

The Indiana Department of Transportation announced this afternoon that Brown County will get the maximum $1 million it could ask for in matching funds for local road work.

Nashville will get $172,025.03 — the maximum it had the money to match, as well.

A formal presentation is scheduled for Monday morning at the Brown County highway garage, said Brown County Commissioner Diana Biddle.
