A Bloomington man has been charged with drunken driving and possession of drug paraphernalia after being pulled over in downtown Nashville after midnight July 23.

Robert W. Toosley III, 29, was stopped on South Van Buren Street for driving on the wrong half of the road and failing to dim his lights, Nashville Police Officer Kyle Seward reported.

Seward reported Toosley smelled of alcohol and he failed three field sobriety tests. A breath test showed his blood-alcohol content at 0.21, nearly three times the legal limit. He refused a chemical test.

He was charged July 28 with three misdemeanors.
