A Greenwood man was arrested after a woman told local police that he choked her and threw her on the floor of a camper.

The incident was reported July 28 to Indiana Conservation Officer Brent Bohbrink. Jessie A. Couture, 39, and the woman were staying in Buffalo Ridge campground in Brown County State Park. They got into an argument and Couture choked her, Bohbrink’s report said.

Couture was charged July 29 with domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor, and public intoxication, a Class B misdemeanor. The report said Couture’s blood-alcohol content at the time of his arrest was 0.27, more than three times the legal limit for intoxication.
