A Greenwood man is facing two charges after being stopped for speeding and crossing the center line on State Road 135.

Dustin M. Stephenson, 26, was pulled over by Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Andrew Eggebrecht at around 11:30 p.m. July 24.

Eggebrecht reported in a probable cause affidavit that he could smell alcohol on Stephenson, that his eyes were glossy and his balance was unsteady.

However, a breath test given at the scene showed his blood-alcohol content to be 0.05, less than the legal limit of 0.08. The results of a chemical test administered at the Brown County Law Enforcement Center are still pending, the affidavit said.

Stephenson was charged July 25 with operating a vehicle while intoxicated — endangering a person, a Class A misdemeanor, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor.
