JOHNSON COUNTY — The Indiana Department of Transportation plans to close two Johnson County bridges Monday, Aug. 1 for installation of new bridge deck overlays on:

• the State Road 252 Big Blue River bridge 0.52 miles east of U.S. 31 near Edinburgh and
• the State Road 44 Prong Stotts Creek bridge 0.11 miles west of State Road 135 near Trafalgar.

Both bridges will close for up to 14 days, INDOT said.

Drivers may detour around the S.R. 252 closure via U.S. 31 and Interstate 65. They can circumvent the S.R. 44 closure via State Road 37, S.R. 252 and S.R. 135.  Both state route detours are signed.
