SPEARSVILLE — A Brazil, Indiana, man was arrested on drug charges July 5 after police responded to Camp Buckwood for a report of a person in a “psychotic state of mind.”

Brown County Sheriff’s Deputies Brian Shrader and Paul Henderson responded to the men’s-only resort in the 8600 block of Spearsville Road for a man who was screaming and yelling in his tent, the report said.

Shrader asked for the man — later identified as Jeffrey Tallman, 53 — to exit the tent.

Tallman, who was nude, gathered some clothing, exited the tent and said, “It’s OK, I’ll go with you. Just take me to jail.”

Shrader told Tallman he had not done anything wrong. Then he looked into Tallman’s tent where he saw a glass pipe and a small amount of marijuana in a baggie. Tallman reported that he had smoked marijuana throughout the weekend.

On July 6, he was charged with possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor, and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.
