Man faces drunken driving charge after traffic stop

A Bloomington man was arrested July 4 after being pulled over in Nashville for not having a valid driver’s license.At around noon, Nashville Police Officer Richard King pulled over a Dodge Intrepid driven by Juan Calix Aguilar, 25, at Hawthorne Drive and State Road 46 East.

King reported smelling alcohol on Aguilar and that his eyes were red and watery. Aguilar failed three field tests and a breath test showed his blood-alcohol content to be 0.11, more than the legal limit of 0.08.

Aguilar was arrested and taken to the Brown County jail.

He was charged July 5 with three alcohol-related misdemeanors and operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license, also a misdemeanor.
