“Dena,” a Rotary Exchange Student from Jakarta, Indonesia, will tell about her academic year in the United States when the Brown County Rotary Club meets at 7:15 a.m. Thursday, July 7, in Nashville’s Artists Colony Inn, 105 S. Van Buren St.
The 17-year-old attended Whiteland Community High School during 2015-2016, lives with a Rotary family and will return to her home in Indonesia in mid-July.
Rotary has sponsored the Youth Exchange Program since 1927, and more than 8,000 high school students participated in the program this year in the U.S. and other countries around the world.
The public is welcome to attend the meeting and learn more about the program.
At 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 9, the Brown County Widowed Group will meet at the Sycamore Valley Community Center, 746 Memorial Drive at the fairgrounds.
Senior scams will be discussed.
Any widowed person is welcome.
The group will also sponsor euchre parties at the center at 1 p.m. Tuesdays, July 12 and 26.
