Brown County man injured in weekend ATV accident

A Brown County man was injured after the ATV he was riding flipped June 25 on Fruitdale Drive.

Ronnie Camden, 46, was riding an ATV after dark in the backyard of his home in the 900 block of Fruitdale Drive when he struck a large grass cover rut, according to a press release from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement District 6.

The collision caused the ATV to flip and roll on top of Camden, the release states.

Emergency units were dispatched at approximately 9:54 p.m.

Camden received chest, neck and back injuries. He was transported in stable condition to Johnson Memorial Hospital by EMS for treatment.

He was not wearing a helmet or other protective gear.

The accident is under investigation.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Department, EMS and Fruitdale Volunteer Fire Department assisted Indiana Conservation Officers at the scene.
