A Columbus woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after she was pulled over for speeding on State Road 46 West June 12.

Nashville Police Officer Kyle Seward pulled over Carissa M. Perr, 26, around 4 a.m. in the 1400 block. Seward reported smelling alcohol on Perr and that her eyes were red and watery.

A breath test showed her blood-alcohol content to be 0.149, nearly twice the legal limit of 0.08.

Perr was arrested. She was charged June 13 with two alcohol-related misdemeanors.
