To the editor:

Brown County Habitat for Humanity is proud to announce we are partnering with Bear Hardware to open a new site for the sale of donated items.

We are now selling construction material, tools and equipment with proceeds benefiting Brown County Habitat. We are now accepting your unwanted items in good condition at Bear Hardware.

We are very grateful for the assistance of Bear Hardware in providing us this space. Naturally our space is limited, so that we ask you to limit your donations to items in good condition, which are ready to use.

Items we accept: Furniture, appliances, area rugs, light fixtures, cabinetry, picture frames, power and hand tools (in working condition), building materials, doors in good condition, plywood (full and half sheets), lumber, new hardware, screws and nails, housewares, lawn and garden items, floor tile.

Items we cannot accept: Mattresses and box springs, dishwashers and water heaters, used carpet, fluorescent lighting and bulbs, countertops, unframed glass, electronics (no used TVs or computers), damaged doors, odd-shaped plywood, lumber shorter than 4 feet, lumber with nails in it, rotten lumber, siding, used toilets, blinds and curtains, medical equipment, pianos and organs, clothing and fabric, baby items, toys, paint, hazardous chemicals, tires.

Your donations and patronage at our new location help us provide ongoing support and assistance for Brown County residents in need of decent housing.

We thank you all for your support, and we look forward to seeing you at Bear Hardware!

Denny Kubal, Brown County
