Letter: Firefighters thankful for new ladder truck

To the editor:

The Brown County (Nashville) Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank our community for helping to dedicate Ladder 1, your department’s newest fire apparatus.

We appreciated the chance to interact with you and your families and to share with you the pride we take in every piece of equipment you entrust to us.

We want to give a special thank-you to Brown County IGA and Warford Silgas for helping out with discounts, to Nashville McDonald’s for supplying the sweet tea and to Brozzini’s for cutting us a deal on lunch for all the great folks who worked the event.

And, of course, we want to thank the town of Nashville for entrusting us with this latest truck, as well as the safety of your families, your homes and your livelihoods.

We are volunteers because, when our community calls, we want to be certain someone is there respond. We are grateful for anything and everything our community does to help us answer that call.

Jon Justin, for the Brown County (Nashville) Volunteer Fire Department
