Thomas L. Sprague, 68, of Freetown, passed away at 12:15 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2016, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Born in Seymour, Oct. 5, 1947, he was the son of Carl Sprague and Helen (Taylor) Sprague.

Thomas had retired from Reliance Electric, Reeves Plant, and Baldor. He was an Army veteran who served in Vietnam from 1965-1967. A member of the American Legion, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Ann “Susie” Stewart Sprague; two children, Debbie (Bobby Mann) Ridlen and Carl (Rhoda) Sprague; a stepdaughter, Lyndsay (Darrell) Kendrick; a sister, Patricia Klakamp; five grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Cordes; two wives, Shirley (Duke) Sprague and Erma (Lentz) Sprague; and his mother, Helen Taylor Sprague Sutton.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 14, at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home, 320 N. High St. in Brownstown, followed by burial in Freetown Cemetery with military graveside rites.

Visitation will be from noon until the service time Tuesday, June 14, at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial donations to either Schneck Foundation or St. Jude’s Hospital.
