Robert L. Schrougham, 89, of Nashvillle, died at 12:15 a.m., Wednesday, May 29, 2016, at Brown County Health & Living Community.

Robert was born in Brown County, Oct. 23, 1926, to the late Merle and Nelle Zody Schrougham.

Mr. Schrougham retired from Cummins Engine Company. He enjoyed woodworking, especially making cabinets and furniture and loved fishing in Florida.

Survivors include his wife, Winifred; children, Sherry, Gary, Lynn and Larry (Donna) Schrougham; brother, Jerry Schrougham; step children; Rosalyn LaFlower, Beverly Hynes, Connie ( Larry) Percifield; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by brother, Jim Schrougham; sisters, Patricia Emburton, Freeda Derringer; and daughter, Marsha.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, June 3, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home, 1029 Washington Street in Columbus, with the Rev. Daryl Gressel officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, June 2, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus. Full military rites will be presented by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard.
