HAMBLEN TWP. — A Nineveh woman has officially been charged with operating while intoxicated for an accident on Sweetwater Trail last December.

When Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Jacob Woods arrived at the crash in the 7000 block of Sweetwater Trail the evening of Dec. 20, he found Amy Jo Curry, 42, sitting in the driver’s seat.

Woods reported smelling alcohol on Curry, that her eyes were glassy and Curry admitted to being intoxicated “several times,” according to a probable cause affidavit.

A breath test showed Curry’s blood-alcohol level to be 0.21, more than twice the legal limit.

Curry was charged April 21 with operating a vehicle while intoxicated — endangering a person, a Class A misdemeanor; operating a vehicle with an ACE of 0.15 or more, a Class A misdemeanor; and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor.
