CORAOPOLIS, Pa. — Police continued to search for a man who pulled a gun in an apparent road rage incident, prompting two western Pennsylvania schools to lockdown briefly.

Moon Township police say the incident happened about 1:50 p.m. Monday as a woman drove to Moon Area High School to pick up her daughter.

The woman tells police a man was tailgating her so she stopped to confront him near the school, only to have him pull a gun and tell her to stay back. Police say the man then sped away toward Moon Area Middle School and both schools were locked down while police searched for the suspect.

Police are hoping the vehicle’s license number will show up on surveillance video. They say he’s a white man with a scruffy beard and curly hair, driving a black SUV or crossover.
