Letter: CRC pledges to follow through on promise to community

To the editor:

On behalf of the CRC students, staff and steering committee I want to thank the Brown County community for your continued support through the referendum.

I understand and acknowledge that this support requires sacrifice to benefit people that you may or may not have a personal connection with; that is no small measure. The support and trust of the community must be honored through providing educational and employment opportunities for our adults in need that are looking for a better financial future and quality of life.

That is a responsibility that we pledge will be honored. I will share in the near future what those opportunities are in the near and long term.

Thank you also to the many volunteers who worked tirelessly on this campaign on our behalf and the schools. This includes the Brown County Partnership and Marcia DeBock for their articles of support.

We have a saying at the CRC: “Education is a gift to yourself, your family and to your community.” Thank you for the opportunity to continue the work of improving lives and ultimately bettering our community.
