BOXBOROUGH, Mass. — A man wanted by authorities for nearly 20 years for an armed home robbery in Connecticut has been arrested.

Jose Manuel Blanco-Dominguez was taken into custody Saturday morning in Boxborough.

Police say they pulled over the 57-year-old Blanco-Dominguez for a traffic stop on Massachusetts Avenue. The officer learned there was an arrest warrant for Blanco-Dominguez after running the vehicle’s registration.

Police say Blanco-Dominguez is one of four men who robbed a family at knifepoint in a Connecticut home on June 25, 1997. Police say three of the men were captured but Blanco-Dominguez escaped by jumping out a window and running into the nearby woods.

Blanco-Dominguez is being held without bail pending his arraignment.

It’s unclear whether he has a lawyer who could comment on the charges.
