A Brown County woman was arrested early Tuesday morning after a pursuit that went through Johnson and Brown counties and lasted about an hour.

Lona D. Albertson, 47, 4014 Hoover Road, was arrested on charges of resisting law enforcement, criminal recklessness and a warrant.

The pursuit began on Interstate 65 near Whiteland around midnight. It went through Edinburgh and into the Peoga area on “numerous county roads in northern Brown County” and eventually came back into Johnson County, according to reports from the Johnson County and Brown County sheriff’s offices.

Deputies used stop sticks to deflate the tires of the vehicle, which went off the road and stopped on County Road 250 West, just north of the Johnson County line.

A Johnson County sheriff’s vehicle was damaged in the pursuit, Sheriff Doug Cox said.

Albertson was taken to the Johnson County jail, where she was held without bond.

According to online court records, Albertson had failed to appear at a April 7 traffic court hearing in Brown County about driving without insurance.
