Horse rider airlifted from state park

VAN BUREN TWP. — A Bargersville woman was flown from Brown County State Park May 7 after a horseback riding accident.

Gina Glover, 48, was riding along the road at the Brown County State Park Horseman’s Camp when her horse was spooked by a passing motorcycle. She sustained head and facial injuries, according to a news release from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources District 6.

Glover was conscious when help arrived, according to sheriff’s dispatch traffic.

She was flown by a medical helicopter to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. An update on her condition was not available as of press time.

DNR officers were assisted by the Van Buren Township Volunteer Fire Department, Brown County (Nashville) Volunteer Fire Department and Columbus Regional Hospital EMS.
