Aging & Community Services of South Central Indiana, Inc. dba Thrive Alliance, will accept proposal packets for Older Americans Act Title lll-B services for the elderly and persons with disabilities in Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson, and Jennings counties.

The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration expects to make available no more than $174,069 of Title lll-B of the Older Americans Act funds and $242,309 of Social Services block Grant funds for local projects in Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson, and Jennings counties. Funding for contracts to providers of in-home, community, access, and legal services will be for the contract year July 1, 2016 -June 30, 2017.

Agencies and organizations interested in applying to provide services for the Title III-C elderly nutrition program will be required to provide nutrition services for the five county area at the level determined by Aging & Community Services, dba Thrive Alliance, including the setting, outreach, and assessment of nutritional needs. Potential service providers must have prior food experience and/or food service production experience. Funds available for the congregate nutrition program are expected to be no more than $235,842.

Technical assistance in grant preparation is available by request. Title lll-B Older Americans Act funds may be requested by any 501(c) 3 organization that designs a program specifically to provide transportation to persons age 60 or over or persons of any age with disabilities.
