Letter: Parks appreciative of partnership with schools

0

To the editor:

The Brown County Parks & Recreation Department would like to extend our sincere gratitude for the cooperation provided to us by the Brown County school corporation. As a not-for-profit with no recreation facility of our own, parks and rec depends upon the Brown County school corporation’s facilities to accommodate our programming needs.

When available, the Brown County school corporation allows us to utilize these facilities free of charge, which also allows us to keep our participation fees low and to provide as many financial aid/scholarship opportunities as possible.

Without the support and generosity of Brown County Schools, many of our programs and services, such as our youth and adult basketball, wrestling, cheerleading and even our summer day camp, could not be provided to the community.

Thank you for contributing to the success of our programs!

Sincerely,

Mark Shields, director, Brown County Parks & Rec
