Letter: County’s road repairs could be done differently

0

To the editor:

Yesterday (April 26), Brown County and Morgan County were repairing roads in our area.

Morgan County had minor repairs due to the fact they do it right the first time, using a roller after filling the holes with the proper material.

Brown County had been filling with chip and seal since we moved here. That lasts about two months and the potholes are 6 inches deep again. Carmel Ridge Road is the worst. I wanted to send the crew from Brown County down the road to Lick Creek to see how it’s done.

Nashville had a ton of road work on roads that looked 10 times better than ours before they started. Helmsburg Road was done and looks great. Why not fix Carmel Ridge correctly also?
