The Rotary Club of Brown County thanks the following businesses for contributions to the gift basket that was part of a silent auction at the Rotary District 6580 conference on April 9 at the Bloomington Convention Center: Hotel Nashville, Artists Colony Inn, Big Woods Brewery & Pizza, Salt Creek Golf Retreat, Brown County Playhouse, Brown County Art Guild, Doot Salad Dressings, Brown County Convention and Visitors Bureau and Bear Wallow Distillery.

About 250 Rotarians from 36 clubs in south-central Indiana attended the conference. The silent auction is a popular event, and all proceeds benefit the Rotary International Foundation which offers grants for local, national and international projects.

In 2015, our club received a $5,000 matching grant from the RI Foundation, which we matched with $5,000 in order to contribute $10,000 to the Helping Hands building project.
