IMG_1348Lois Armstrong Clair, 93, of Nashville, Indiana, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016, at Oroville Hospital in California.

Mrs. Clair was born Dec. 5, 1922 in Princeton, Indiana. She graduated Princeton High School, attended McMurray College, Purdue University, and graduated with a degree in education from Glassboro State, (Rowen University). She taught school in Pensgrove, Pennsylvania. In Medford, New Jersey, Mrs. Clair was a member of the Protestant Community Church where she was past president of their women’s guild; she was also a member of Pinelands Garden Club and the A.A.U.W.

Lois, married to Wm. Wilhite of Evansville,(deceased), was the loving mother of two daughters: daughter, Katia Wilder, of Oroville, California; grandchildren, Hopi Wilder and Sunny Giscombe; and great-granddaughter, Maya Giscombe; second daughter, Susy O’Donnell (son-in-law, Randy) of Nashville; granddaughter, Audrey Schultz; and great-grandchildren, Noah and Grace Schultz.

She was predeceased by her husband, Earl Clair of Medford, New Jersey, in 2005; and brother, Eldon Armstrong (sister-in-law, Jane Armstrong) of Mullica Hill, New Jersey.

A celebration of her life will be scheduled later this summer.
