UNIONVILLE — A Nashville man died April 20 after police say he crossed the center line and struck a box truck head-on in Monroe County.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office responded to crash in the 7000 block of East State Road 45 at around 3 p.m. April 20.

Kenneth Eugene Harden, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene, a press release from the sheriff’s department states.

Police said Harden was driving a minivan eastbound when he crossed the center line into westbound traffic and collided with the box truck.

The driver of the truck, Joshua Latham, 24, Indianapolis, reported no injuries.

Indiana State Police were called to the scene to assist with accident reconstruction. Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital, Benton Township Fire Department and the Monroe County Coroner’s Office also assisted at the scene, a press release said.
