Janet Lea DeVore, 61, has fought the good fight and left this earthly world for her eternal home. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and friends, Tuesday, April 19, 2016.

Janet was born in Steubenville, Ohio, on June 30, 1954, to Russell John “Spike” and Charlotte Rose (Batton) DeVore; they preceded her in death.

She attended Columbus North High School and worked at National Linen from 1969 to 1975. Then she worked as a loyal employee from Jan. 1976 to Dec. 2015 at Enkei America, Inc., retiring due to terminal cancer. She enjoyed softball, watching sporting events with family and friends, yard work, playing computer games, and she enjoyed time with her son, family, and friends. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church where she served faithfully as a trustee for several years.

Janet is survived by her son, James Russell DeVore of Nashville; grandma, Lula Pearl “Dude” Moore of Nashville; sister, Terrie Jean (Tony) Staublin of Scipio; brother, Michael John (Jennifer) DeVore of Taylorsville; nephews, Adam Staublin, Evan and Samuel DeVore; and many close extended family and friends.

Cremation is being arranged through Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home in Nashville.
