Indianapolis man faces felony alcohol charge
An Indianapolis man has been charged with a felony after a traffic stop the morning of March 23.Nashville Police Officer Kyle Seward pulled over John P. Kelley, 28, for speeding at the Brown County Law Enforcement Center at around 8:41 a.m.
Seward reported smelling alcohol on Kelley, that his eyes were red and watery, his balance was unsteady and he staggered from his vehicle, a probable cause affidavit said.
Kelley refused a breath test.
On March 28, he was charged with two misdemeanors, but one was increased to a Level 6 felony since Kelley was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated — endangering a person in Hancock County in September 2015.
