EstelleEvelynne L. (Wintergerst) Estelle, 85, of Brown County, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, April 12, 2016, at Brown County Health & Living Community in Nashville.

Evelynne was born June 27, 1930, in Marion County to the late Charles J. and Helen Marie (Eck) Wintergerst. She was a 1948 graduate of Helmsburg High School. Evelynne retired in 1992 from the Division of Family and Social Services Administration of Brown County after 22 years of service. After retirement, she worked at the Brown County and the Bartholomew County Bureau of Motor Vehicles until 2009.

Evelynne is survived by her children, Teresa (Doug) Baird of Nashville and Bill (Rowena) Teague of Brown County; and grandchildren, Josh Aspenson, Jason Teague, Natalie Baird, Ethan Baird, Chad Teague and Bryan Teague.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Estelle, whom she married on June 27, 1978, in Nashville. He preceded her in death on Aug. 25, 1987. Evelynne was also preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Teague; and siblings, Carolyn, Charles and John Wintergerst.

She formerly attended St. Agnes Catholic Church in Nashville. Evelynne loved spending time with her family and cooking for family gatherings. She truly loved spending time with her grandchildren. Evelynne also enjoyed keeping up with politics by watching CNN and Fox News television.

The Rev. Fred Harrison will conduct a funeral service at noon Friday, April 22 at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Unity Church Cemetery in Brown County.
