An 18-year-old driver and her passenger were injured Tuesday night near Sweetwater Lake.

Brown County sheriff’s deputies, Cordry Sweetwater Volunteer firefighters and the CSCD ambulance responded to the accident at Sweetwater and Antelope drives 9 p.m. March 29.

The driver, Delannie Adkins, 18, Nineveh, ran off the road, down an embankment and stopped near the edge of a lake, according to a press release from the sheriff’s department.

Adkins and a minor passenger were taken by ambulance to Johnson Memorial Hospital for minor injuries, the release said.
