A Nashville man was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated after he was pulled over for speeding and crossing the center line March 18.
At around 10:15 p.m., Nashville Police Assistant Chief Tim True stopped Daniel W. Shepherd, 51, on State Road 46. True reported in a probable cause affidavit that he could smell alcohol, alcohol containers were in view, Shepherd’s speech was slurred and his eyes were red and watery.
Shepherd failed three field tests and a breath test showed his blood-alcohol content to be 0.10, over the legal limit of 0.08, the report said.
He was charged March 21 with three misdemeanors.
