Rigney ClaudClaud B. Rigney, 89, of Franklin, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016.

He was born Nov. 20, 1926 in Liberty, Kentucky. Claud was a veteran of the U.S. Army and later retired from Reifers Furniture Store.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Holmes Ginn Rigney; daughters, Brenda (John) Holmes and Pam Helkema; son, Randall (Debbie) Rigney; son-in-law, Larry Helkema; Martha’s children, Richard, Mark, Michael Holmes, Jae Lynn Riedeman and Brent Holmes; grandchildren, Bryan Marsh, Jennifer Almeida, Lauri Ann Kritzer and Patti Rzeszut; great-grandchildren, Angie Parnell, Nikota Webster, Sierra and Tristan Stegemoller; and great-great-grandchildren, Dwayne, Cain, Emma, Devin, and Teagan.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris June Rigney; and his second wife, Rachel Rigney.

A service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, April 1, at Franklin United Methodist Community, Wright Chapel, 1070 W. Jefferson St. in Franklin.

Friends can call from 1 p.m. until service time Friday.

Claud will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery.
