LArry Voils 001Larry Voils, 69, of Brown County, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 24, 2016.

He was born at home in Casey County, Kentucky, on Feb. 25, 1947, to Bill and Margie Voils.

His family moved to Zionsville, where he attended Zionsville schools and worked his first job at the Doc Fortunes farm. He worked at Burford Printing Company in Indianapolis, Stigel Management Company, Ed Brown (Brownie), Nashville Heating and Air, Brown County State Park and the T.C. Steele Memorial. He was sole proprietor of On Call Maintenance for over 20 years.

He married his beloved wife, Ruth H. Ramsey on April 28, 1965. They have three children, Gene (Debbi), Missy (Brent) Smith, and Andy (Sarah). They have 10 grandchildren whom he loved very much, Levi Voils, Jordyn Smith, Kacee Lambert, Nathan Lambert, Zachary Voils, Dawson Lambert, Maddox Voils, Lilly Voils, Jackson Smith, and Kynley Voils. His family was his world.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Margie Voils; his sister, Barbara Scott; and his brother, Bill Voils, Jr.

Larry loved the Lord and was a member of New Life Community Church. He loved the outdoors, cutting wood, campfires, mowing grass, fishing and riding his grandchildren on his golf cart in the woods.

Friends were to call at New Life Community Church, 1450 State Road 135 North, from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 28,

The funeral service, officiated by Andy Voils, Rick Herman and the Rev. Tim Conboy, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 29 at the church.

Burial will take place in Unity Cemetery.

Larry’s final wish for all of us was, “Keep your eyes on Jesus!”
