CraciunoiuobitphotoIrene Anne Craig Craciunoiu, 90, of Nashville, died Sunday evening, March 20, 2016, at Brown County Health & Living Community.

Born March 25, 1925, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of Antone and Helen Stolarski. Owner of former Sparkle Plenty Gift Shop in Nashville from 1971-2006, Irene along with her husband formerly owned and operated the Nick Craig Music stores in Indianapolis. A member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Nashville, Irene was a former member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Indianapolis. An avid team bowler, she loved to play cards and was a fan of I.U. basketball and the Indiana Pacers.

Irene is survived by her son, Thomas Craciunoiu of Nashville; and two daughters, Paula Roberts of Columbus and Niki (Ed) Glover of Indianapolis; three grandchildren, Mike (Brittany) Craciunoiu of Indianapolis, Sarah Craciunoiu of Washington, D.C., and Nic Roberts of Indianapolis; and two great-grandchildren, Emerick and Barrett Craciunoiu.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Craig Craciunoiu in 1985; five sisters; and two brothers.

A private family graveside funeral service will be conducted at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown with burial following.

All who wish to pay their respects are invited to visit Brown County Health and Living Community and express a special thank-you to staff members of “C” Hall, who provided Irene with friendship and the quality of life her disease allowed the past five years.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
