A Bloomington man was charged Jan. 15 with possession of marijuana after a warrant was issued for his arrest in June.
On June 30, Sandford L. Patrick III, 33, was riding with a woman who was picking up evidence from District 6 Conservation headquarters in Brown County State Park when she was arrested on a probation violation warrant from Morgan County.
Brown County sheriff’s deputies Bill Southerland and Jimmy Green learned Patrick also had an outstanding warrant, out of Monroe County.
Southerland found a one-inch “roach” in a cigarette pack in Patrick’s front pocket, the police report said.
The report did not explain who the woman with Patrick was, what evidence she was picking up or why.
