WICHITA, Kan. — Michael Weathers scored 26 points to lift Shawnee Mission North to an 80-56 win over Wichita Southeast in the 6A state championship game on Saturday.

Shawnee Mission North trailed by two points after the first quarter, but the team roared back to end the half 37-27 and Wichita Southeast was not able to retake the lead for the rest of the game.

Shawnee Mission North was also boosted by Avante Williams and Marcus Weathers, who scored 20 points each.

Jerrick Harding led Wichita Southeast with 22 points, and he sunk 10 of his 12 free throws.
