Driver loses control of vehicle, passenger injured

HAMBLEN TWP. — An Edinburgh woman was injured following an accident on Sprunica Road March 7.

Kevin A. Couch, 46, Edinburgh, was driving northbound on Sprunica Road at around 8 a.m. when his Dodge RAM pickup truck began to shake causing him to lose control.

The truck ran off the side of the road, hit a tree and a mailbox before coming to rest in a driveway of a residence in the 6800 block, according to an accident report by Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Rick Followell.

Couch was not injured in the accident. His passenger, Kim Hattfield, 44, had minor bleeding on her head, but was not transported to the hospital.

Couch and Hattfield were wearing their seat belts. Couch’s truck was towed from the scene.

Hamblen Township Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
