A Bloomington man was injured after the Maserati he was riding in slid while entering Brown County State Park.

Just before 9 p.m. Feb. 24, Fengjun Li, 23, Bloomington, crashed the 2008 Maserati Granturismo into a tree near the west gate entrance. He told the officer he had slammed on his brakes when the car began to slide. It came to rest 98 feet from the road, the accident report said.

The crash caused heavy front-end damage and pinned the driver’s side door shut, the accident report said.

Deputy Andrew Eggebrecht reported that the driver did not have a driver’s license or learner’s permit.

The passenger, Paktung Chen, 22, was taken to the hospital for internal injuries.

Both were wearing their seat belts. The vehicle was towed.
