Nashville Municipal Utilities is not associated with a mailing residents may have received about “exterior water service line coverage.”

The sender, HomeServe, is a private company offering insurance coverage in case of a water line problem on private property.

The mailing’s cover letter says the company is not associated with a municipal utility or the local community, but Nashville Utilities Coordinator Sean Cassiday said he’d heard from a resident who thought the town had mailed it.
