SAN ANTONIO — Calveion Landrum had 28 points, six rebounds, five assists and five steals in leading Waco LaVega to a 54-36 win over Abilene Wylie on Friday in the girls’ class 4A semifinals.

Landrum, who has committed to Big 12 powerhouse Baylor, scored 13 in the first half as the Pirates built a 22-17 lead. Wylie than rallied to tie the game early in the third quarter.

Landrum then scored eight points and had two assists as La Vega (33-2) went on a 14-2 run to seize a 36-24 lead going into the fourth.

Odision Miles added eight points for La Vega while Ta’Naiya Norwood had six points and eight rebounds.

Brittany Brewer led Wylie (30-6) with 16 points and 11 rebounds while Makaela Mosley added nine points and nine rebounds.
