In loving memory of John B. Burrell, 69, born on March 20, 1947; passed away Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016.
A 1965 Brown County High School graduate, he was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps and was honorably discharged as a decorated Vietnam War hero. He worked at Eli Lilly for 30-plus years.
John is survived by his wife, Candy; children, John Roy, Amanda (Nathan), Karen, Josh (Jill), Roxane (Andy) and Nathan; his mother, Pearl Burrell of Nashville; brother, Mike Burrell (Evelyn) of Greenwood; sister, Beverly Bishop (Larry) of Morgantown; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday March 4, at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church, 418 E. 24th St., Indianapolis.
A funeral service at the church will follow visitation at 2 p.m.
Burial with military honors will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis.
